We were all playing in Miranda’s room tonight when she announced she had to poop and she took off for the bathroom.

We have a potty chair for her which she has never used. She has sat on it a couple of times, but she hasn’t been super interested in using it or announcing to us when she has gone potty in her diaper. So when she announced she had to poop I figured she already had or was playing.

I went into the bathroom and asked her if she wanted to sit on her potty. She said yes so we stripped her down bare and sat her down. She was only on for a few moments when she got up and took her dirty diaper that I had balled up and went to her room to throw it away. I followed her there and then back to the bathroom.

I asked her again if she wanted to sit down and she said yes so I got her centered on the potty. Much to my surprise, a few seconds later, she peed! No poop, she may not quite know the difference yet, maybe, but nevertheless she used her potty chair for the first time today. We’re both proud of our growing girl.
